Comeback Bearcat program provides up to $1,000 for former UC Blue Ash students
Free information sessions coming in February and March
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is offering former students who stopped out before earning a degree up to $1,000 per year in scholarships to return to school and finish what they started.
To qualify for the Comeback Bearcat program at UC Blue Ash, students should have previously attended the college, have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, and be within approximately 30 credit hours of completing their associate degree.
Those who qualify for the program will receive a scholarship of $500 per semester, or $1,000 for the year. They will also receive individual support with the readmission process, reviewing the courses still needed to complete their degree and developing a plan to help them achieve that goal.
The college is hosting free, virtual information sessions about the Comeback Bearcat program on Feb. 4 from 6-7 p.m. and Feb. 11 from 12–1 p.m. Anyone who is interested can register online.
There will also be a free Comeback Bearcat information session at the UC Blue Ash open house in Muntz Hall on Saturday, March 8 from 1-2:30 p.m.
Many students stop out of college due to finances, work or just the different challenges life can present. With the Comeback Bearcat program, UC Blue Ash removes issues related to re-enrollment and directs students toward support services such as advising, financial aid, academic tutoring and more.
For more information regarding the Comeback Bearcat program, you can visit the UC Blue Ash website or reach out to the UC Blue Ash Academic Advising office at ucbacomeback@ucmail.uc.edu or 513-558-9442.
