The UC College of Nursing's programs were once again recognized by U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Graduate Nursing Programs rankings.
The rankings, based on factors such as graduation rates, academic and career support services and admissions selectivity from surveying programs offered by public, private and for-profit institutions, placed UC’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at No. 43 in the country, up six positions from last year and ranked among the top 3 in Ohio.
In nursing specialty rankings, the college's Nurse Anesthesia DNP program is ranked No. 7 in the nation, while the Nurse Midwifery Master of Science in Nursing program is ranked No. 36.
“We are honored to continually provide high-quality nursing education to an increasing number of students,” says Dean Alicia Ribar, PhD, RN. “Our longstanding dedication to delivering innovative, accessible and affordable education—whether for on-campus or online students—shines through in our consistent recognition in these rankings and others.”
The UC College of Nursing was the first in the U.S. to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and remains a nationally recognized institution for its academic standards, technology application and research activity. Today, the college's more than 20,000 living alumni proudly reflect its tradition of leadership and core values as they work to improve health outcomes for individuals and communities around the world.
This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to preparing highly skilled and confident advanced practice nurses who are ready to make a meaningful impact on healthcare. By equipping our students with the knowledge and expertise to deliver exceptional, safe care, we empower them to enhance the health and well-being of those they serve.
