Lindner launches Master of Science in AI Management

New degree program prepares students for tomorrow’s business ecosystem

With an eye towards the evolving business landscape, the Carl H. Lindner College of Business is meeting the moment with the introduction of a master’s degree program in artificial intelligence (AI) management.

The program blends technical insight with strategic and managerial expertise, empowering future graduates to harness the power of large language models (LLMs) to solve real organizational challenges. Applications are now being accepted for fall 2026 enrollment.

"The MS AI Management program develops leaders who can translate advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as machine learning and agentic AI systems into business results that drive operational excellence and ROI,” said Sachin Modi, PhD, academic director of the MS AIM program and head of the department of operations, business analytics, and information systems. “With a curriculum focused on both core AI technologies and their application across supply chain, healthcare, finance, and marketing, students gain the managerial and technical edge needed to accelerate their careers."

The program focuses on the business applications of AI as well as AI governance and strategy, with courses such as Machine Learning Design for Business, Generative AI for Business and AI Strategy, and Operational Transformation. Students can then customize their journeys through electives in a variety of fields and intersections of AI like Data Mining, Algorithmic Trading, AI in Marketing and more. With such a diversified portfolio of coursework, students graduate ready to tackle roles in technology innovation, technology leadership, AI transformation and AI governance.

Embedded throughout the program is an emphasis on hands-on, real-world learning. From corporate projects with top employers to partnerships with Lindner’s Applied AI Lab and nine centers and institutes, students graduate ready to solve complex business challenges.

"Our business partners in Cincinnati have voiced a strong need for professionals that understand how to drive business value with AI, and the new AI management program is designed to deliver that talent,” said Andrew Harrison, PhD, associate dean, graduate programs, and associate professor of information systems. “Our faculty are experts in managing and governing AI systems to transform business practices, and our mission is to share that knowledge with our students through a hands-on approach to learning. We strive to make Lindner and our graduates national leaders in AI management."

The MS AIM adds to Lindner’s robust portfolio of master’s degrees. Lindner’s graduate programs are top ranked for return on investment and demonstrate a strong record of job placement. Across disciplines, Lindner prioritizes experiential learning and connections to industry, creating real-world ready graduates who accelerate their careers and become leaders in their organizations.
