Digital transformation continues to gain momentum at UC
DTS reports progress in innovation, operational excellence and secure, modern infrastructure
Digital Technology Solutions at the University of Cincinnati has released its latest semiannual report, highlighting progress across the university’s digital transformation efforts and the many ways UC is supporting innovation, operational excellence and security across campus.
The report marks the introduction of enhanced innovation as a fourth strategic pillar, underscoring how emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence, extended reality, virtual and augmented reality, and holography — are shaping teaching, research, and operational capabilities at UC.
Other highlights include several examples of digital transformation in action, including the university’s rapidly expanding Bearcats AI Ready! initiatives. Recent milestones include the launch of UC’s new AI website, the university-wide Tier 1 AI fluency training, expansion of the BearcatGPT platform to all faculty and staff and the rollout of AI driven Socratic Tutors for high impact courses.
Digital Technology Solutions also will host the 2026 AI & Emerging Technology Symposium on Feb. 18.
Beyond innovation, Digital Technology Solutions continues to advance IT operational excellence and modernization. Recent achievements include improvements to the UC DTS Service Portal, wireless upgrades in high traffic student spaces, the AEM cloud migration for uc.edu and continued progress in cybersecurity and identity management.
“UC’s digital transformation continues to gain momentum because our community is willing to explore, adopt and shape new technologies together,” said UC Vice President and Chief Digital Officer Bharath Prabhakaran. “DTS is proud to partner with students, faculty and staff as we strengthen our digital foundation and support the innovative work happening across the university.”
The winter 2026 semiannual report reflects ongoing collaboration across UC and provides a snapshot of the progress made toward building a more connected, secure, and future-ready digital environment.
