Hoxworth teams up with Cincinnati Reds
Donors rewarded with exclusive windbreaker
Reds fans and the Greater Cincinnati community have a chance to hit a home run for local hospital patients this April. Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is teaming up with the Cincinnati Reds to offer donors an exclusive Reds windbreaker as a thank-you gift for giving blood in April.
Step up to the plate and donate in April
From April 1–30, everyone who donates blood or platelets at any of the seven Hoxworth neighborhood donor centers or select mobile blood drives will receive the limited-edition Reds windbreaker, while supplies last. This lightweight jacket is perfect for cheering on your hometown team at the ballpark or staying comfortable on breezy spring days around the Tristate.
The partnership brings together two hometown organizations with a shared commitment to supporting the community. While the Reds bring excitement to the ballpark, Hoxworth donors step up to the plate every day to help save lives at hospitals throughout the region. One donation can give hope and healing to up to three patients in Greater Cincinnati.
Hoxworth and Reds are proud to be local
Every blood donation collected by Hoxworth stays local, helping patients at more than 30 hospitals across the Tristate. Just like cheering on the Reds at Great American Ball Park, donating blood is a powerful way for residents to support their neighbors and strengthen the home team.
“Every time someone rolls up their sleeve to donate, they’re making a life-saving play for a patient in our community,” said David Oh, MD, director of Hoxworth Blood Center. “We’re proud to partner with the Cincinnati Reds to celebrate the incredible generosity of our donors. This collaboration is a great reminder that when our community comes together, we can make a real difference for local patients.”
Spring is a busy season for hospitals, and blood donations are always needed. Hoxworth encourages Reds fans and community members alike to step up to the plate and help keep the blood supply strong.
Be a Hoxworth Hero
Whether you’re a lifelong baseball fan or simply want to help save lives close to home, April is the perfect time to make a life-saving assist and take home a piece of Reds pride.
