Hoxworth, FC Cincinnati celebrate life-saving donors with exclusive May giveaway
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is asking donors to score big for their community this May with an exclusive 40 oz. FC Cincinnati–themed tumbler available to donors at the seven neighborhood donor centers and select mobile drives while supplies last. This is Hoxworth's way of saying “thank you” to donors who help keep local patients in the game.
This bold, oversized tumbler isn’t just built to keep your drinks cold (or hot) all day long — it’s a celebration of hometown pride. In partnership with FC Cincinnati, this limited-edition design brings together two organizations deeply rooted in the city, both committed to showing up when it matters most. Whether it’s on the pitch or in local hospitals, teamwork saves lives.
Just like FC Cincinnati rallies fans to support their team, we’re calling on our community to rally for local patients. Every donation helps ensure patients across the region have the blood they need, when they need it. Now you can carry that impact with you wherever you go.
Don’t sit on the sidelines! Step up, donate and take home a tumbler that represents the power of community, compassion and Cincinnati pride.
May 17-23 is National EMS Week
National EMS Week was established in 1974 when former President Ford authorized a national observance to recognize emergency medical service professionals and their life-saving work. Led annually by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, the week honors the dedication of paramedics and EMTs who serve on the front lines of emergency care.
Hoxworth partners with area EMS agencies
At Hoxworth Blood Center, that frontline care is supported through partnerships with local fire departments and EMS agencies across the Cincinnati region. Hoxworth is one of the first community blood centers in the country to provide blood products for prehospital transfusions, helping ensure patients can begin receiving life-saving treatment before they even reach the hospital. This collaboration strengthens the entire emergency care system, empowering first responders who save lives in critical moments.
