Center for Business Analytics renamed the Center for Business Analytics and AI

Registration open for Analytics & AI Summit on May 5

The Center for Business Analytics, housed within the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, has been renamed the Center for Business Analytics and AI.

The name change more accurately reflects the depth and breadth of analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) offerings already supplied by the center, which bridges academia and industry to empower professionals to turn data into action — accelerating business transformations through AI and analytics solutions.

Georgette Angulo-Ramirez is the Executive Director of the Center for Business Analytics and AI.

“Accurate data and reliable analytics are essential to successful AI solutions, and for years we have equipped our members and the region with the knowledge, skills and talent to put them into practice,” said Georgette Angulo-Ramirez, the center’s executive director. “This name change reflects that evolution and more clearly defines the role we play and the value we deliver.”

The center's network of academic and industry experts brings knowledge to the forefront of action, driving insights and supporting pathways to change. Strengthened by the center’s community, faculty and students, professionals in our network are prepared to drive success in their organizations.

The center's mission is achieved through five strategic priorities:

  1. Community: By building bridges between industries, business functions and academia, we elevate our community by making vital connections toward driving data and analytics success.
  2. Academy: Professionals maintain relevance within their industry with our expert-led trainings. Options include custom, private trainings and public courses designed for real-world implementation from day one, covering cutting-edge topics such as applied analytics, data visualization and GenAI for business.
  3. Events: Defining moments in analytics happen at our signature public events, including the annual Data Science Symposium and Analytics and AI Summit. Professionals band together to learn from leaders in analytics and AI while sharing with one another their own learnings, insights and applications.
  4. Experts: Our members benefit from unique access to experts with combined academic and industry knowledge. These experts offer advising and coaching to support data and analytics needs while advancing AI use and applications.
  5. Talent: Engage with today’s emerging talent through tactical project support that fuels and complements organizations’ existing data capabilities. Our exclusive talent offerings allow us to fill in the gaps within organizations while introducing new and fresh ideas.

The Analytics & AI Summit, one of the center’s longtime flagship events, returns to the Greater Cincinnati area at the Sharonville Convention Center on May 5.

Organizations feel pressured to move fast in today’s AI landscape; the summit invites its attendees to pause and reflect on what “AI ready” means for their team. The 2026 summit aims to spark introspection while equipping attendees with the clarity and confidence to advance AI in their organizations responsibly and effectively.

“The summit will shift the conversation beyond the hype of AI and back to its true engine: data,” Angulo-Ramirez said. “Across industries, organizations are discovering they can't scale AI as quickly as planned because their data foundations are not built for AI. Without that in place, realizing meaningful ROI from AI is a challenge.”

Milen Mahadevan (President/CEO, 84.51°) and Ryan Rosensweig, MDes (Director Business Strategy, Cloud & AI Platforms, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Microsoft), will serve as the keynote speaker speakers. Breakout sessions will highlight real-world wins and lessons learned through tracks in community and ethics, health, manufacturing and retail, and marketing.
