Robbie Webb Recognized nationally for excellence in trial advocacy, academics, and leadership

Congratulations to Robbie Webb '26, who has been selected as an Academic All-American Trial Advocate by the selection committee of the National Association of Legal Advocacy Educators (NALAE).

NALAE is a national organization of law professors, adjunct professors, advocacy program directors, coaches, and educators dedicated to preparing law students for successful entry into the legal profession.

To be recognized as an Academic All-American Advocate, candidates are evaluated in three areas: (1) success in trial advocacy competitions, (2) academic achievement, including a minimum GPA of 3.2, and (3) leadership and service contributions within the law school and broader community.

Webb distinguished himself in all three categories. Over the past two years, he has earned recognition for his success in trial competitions, including being named Best Advocate at the Sixth Circuit Challenge last fall. Beyond his competition achievements, Webb has demonstrated exceptional leadership within UC Klekamp Law’s trial advocacy program. As trial team president this year, he helped expand the program’s competitive reach by supporting the participation of seven teams in fall competitions, up from three teams in fall 2024. He also played a significant role in training new trial team members during the fall semester.

Outside the law school, Webb has volunteered extensively as a judge, coach, and advisor for college and high school mock trial programs and tournaments throughout Kentucky. His mentorship and service have helped support and inspire the next generation of trial advocates.

During his 3L year, Webb participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic, where he applied his courtroom advocacy skills on behalf of real clients. After taking the bar exam, he will join the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office. His future clients will be fortunate to have him as their advocate.
