UC continues to advance digital transformation through AI, cybersecurity and modernization
DTS semiannual report highlights progress across the university
The University of Cincinnati's Digital Technology Solutions has released its semiannual report highlighting progress across the university's digital transformation efforts and the many ways UC is supporting innovation, operational excellence, cybersecurity and modernization across campus.
The report highlights UC's continued advancement of artificial intelligence through the Bearcats AI Ready initiative, including expanded access to BearcatGPT, new AI-enabled tools and resources, and ongoing efforts to support responsible AI adoption across teaching, research and administrative operations.
Other highlights include progress on the university's modern data architecture, continued wireless network improvements, classroom technology upgrades, enhancements to identity and access management services, and a new approach to IT service delivery focused on improving the customer experience.
"Across DTS, teams are helping UC move from exploration to enterprise adoption—especially in the rapidly growing area of artificial intelligence," said UC Vice President and Chief Digital Officer Bharath Prabhakaran. "At the same time, innovation does not happen without strong foundations. Progress in cybersecurity, operational excellence, service delivery, wireless infrastructure, data governance and system modernization makes this work possible."
The summer 2026 semiannual report reflects ongoing collaboration across the university and the continued work to build secure, modern and scalable digital capabilities that support UC's mission.
