A Bearcat For Life Story

Being a Bearcat for Life means carrying the University of Cincinnati's spirit of innovation, collaboration, and mentorship into everything I do.

My company, Performance Electronics, was founded by two UC engineering graduates and a former UC professor, and the idea for the company was born through our involvement with Formula SAE, now known as Bearcat Motorsports. Nearly three decades later, those UC roots remain central to who we are.

We regularly hire UC co-op students and graduates, many of whom have become key members of our team. We continue to support Bearcat Motorsports through sponsorships, technical guidance, and mentoring, helping today's students gain the same hands-on experience that helped launch our company.

The connection has become even more meaningful as both of my sons have become second-generation Bearcats. Over the past five years, my oldest son earned his engineering degree from UC and played an integral role in Bearcat Motorsports, while my younger son is also continuing the Bearcat tradition. Watching the next generation develop the same skills, relationships, and passion that shaped my own career has been incredibly rewarding.

For me, being a Bearcat for Life means staying connected to the university that helped shape my future and investing in the students who will shape its future for years to come.
