UC Real Estate Center appoints new executive director

McGrory brings an established connection to the center and its students. A former member of the center’s Board of Executive Advisors in Real Estate, he also helped organize a recent study abroad experience for real estate students in the United Kingdom. McGrory previously spent two years working in London with Grant Thornton.

At Clark Schaefer Hackett, McGrory led the firm’s construction and real estate practice group, collaborating with developers, architects, contractors, investors and the broader network of real estate professionals across the region.

“Those businesses were the clients and the professional network that I operated in,” he said.

McGrory plans to draw on his existing connections to the center and industry to continue to build on the center’s upward trajectory.

“For students, the center combines business world exposure with their classroom and collegiate experience — integrating it through co-ops, mentorship, the roundtables and much more,” he said. “For industry partners, this is a really exciting time to be a part of the center. Our programs and initiatives really intersect with the university's Next Lives Here agenda.”
