Ohio Academy of History selects McMicken Professor as Outstanding Teacher

The Ohio Academy of History presented its 2002 Outstanding Teaching award to history professor John K. Alexander of the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences.

The academy bestowed the award April 20 during a conference in downtown Cincinnati. Alexander joined the faculty of the history department at UC in fall 1969. Each year, the award recognizes only one member of the academy, who must be nominated for the recognition.

Alexander's previous honors at UC have included the Mrs. A.B. "Dolly" Cohen Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Racial Awareness Pilot Project's Emphasis in Diversity Award.
