German Professor Donates Rare Collection to Blegen Library
Professor Jerry Glenn, who will be retiring from the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures in January of 2003, has donated his substantial collection of materials on Paul Celan, one of the major German poets of the 20th century, to the Archives and Rare Book Department of Blegen Library.
This collection, to be called, the Jerry Glenn Collection, includes virtually all journal and newspaper articles on Celan including some that are relatively inaccessible, many dissertations that are not readily obtainable, as well as many book chapters. A substantial number of translations into English, and a smattering of translations into other languages are also present.
