UC To Report Research On Warren County s Higher Education Needs
The University of Cincinnati has invited Warren County legislators, educators and city officials to hear details of a comprehensive research project on the educational needs of Warren County. Results of the research conducted over the summer by UCs Institute for Policy Research will be presented at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Warren County One Stop Center, located at 300 East Silver St. in Lebanon.
The UC/Warren County Educational Needs Assessment is a result of a phone survey of Warren County adults, as well as focus group meetings with business representatives, guidance counselors and high school seniors. The project also combined census, and regional and academic information to form a demographic profile of Warren County. The university first announced the project to Warren County officials last March.
For more than three decades, the nationally recognized Institute for Policy and Research (IPR) has conducted research in relation to building on the universitys commitment to education, research and public service. Presently, the IPR has been spotlighted nationally because of the Ohio Polls surveys in regard to the upcoming election.
