Tournament Proceeds Will Fund UC Scholarships
This years Oscar Robertson Celebrity Golf Tournament proceeds will be used to fund new scholarships at the University of Cincinnati. The scholarship programs to be created are:
The Oscar and Yvonne Robertson Founders Scholarship, awarded to a winner of the Cincinnatus Scholarship Competition.
The Oscar and Yvonne Robertson Urban Education Scholarship, awarded to an undergraduate student in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services, who is preparing to teach in urban schools.
The Oscar and Yvonne Robertson Incentive Scholarship, awarded to an incoming student in any UC degree program who has demonstrated financial need.
This gift is the first step in a larger gift to the University from the Robertsons that will include a $500,000 future commitment to further fund the three scholarships.
The Golf Tournament, now in its third year, takes place Sept. 17-18 at Belterra Casino Resort and Spa. The Tournament is put on each year by Oscar and Yvonne Robertson, both graduates of UC. Yvonne is also a member of the Board of Trustees of The University of Cincinnati Foundation.
