University of Cincinnati s Real Estate Center Announces a Three-Year Partnership With PNC Bank
The University of Cincinnati (UC) Real Estate Center at the College of Business will get a boost thanks to a generous gift from PNC Bank. The three-year commitment establishes a Premier Partnership with PNC and will be used for the development of industry programs at the UC Real Estate Center.
We are grateful to PNC Bank for their ongoing generosity and commitment to the University of Cincinnati, said Michael W. Carroll, president of The University of Cincinnati Foundation. Corporate partnerships are essential during the Proudly Cincinnati campaign to sustain and grow the relationship between UC and the business community.
As a Premier Partner, PNC will team up with the Real Estate Center to offer the Real Estate Roundtable series, the UC/PNC Economic Outlook and the Annual UC Real Estate Center Dinner as well as work with the College of Business to potentially recruit students for co-op and professional positions.
The Real Estate Center at the University of Cincinnatis College of Business is such an important asset to this community, said Kay Geiger, PNC regional president for Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. PNC believes that in order for our business community to attract and retain excellent talent for our future workforce, businesses need to be actively engaged in helping our education system succeed from early childhood through higher education.
The Real Estate Center presents the Real Estate Roundtable series, a breakfast lecture series that draws more than 600 professionals from the region and provides networking opportunities for professionals, faculty and students. The Roundtable series affords students of the colleges real estate program the chance to learn first-hand about careers such as brokerage and leasing, urban planning, land development and construction and market research.
We are excited and honored that our long-standing partner, PNC Bank, is growing their commitment to the Center through this generous sponsorship, said John Glascock, West Shell Professor of Real Estate Finance and director of the UC Real Estate Center. The partnership demonstrates the significance of the Centers relationship with the business community, and the opportunities we provide through our offerings. It also indicates the strong commitment that PNC Bank has to community and educational development in Cincinnati and Ohio. We look forward to working with PNC Bank on economic development, community growth and excellence in education for UC students."
The partnership with PNC builds on an already strong relationship between PNC and the Goering Center for Family & Private Business, the Economics Center for Education and Research, and UC Athletics.
The next UC/PNC Economic Outlook will be on Feb. 12. For more information or to register, please contact Katharine Bridgman at 513-556-7082 or real.estate@uc.edu.
