UC Professor Among 16 from Around the World to Serve on International Advisory Committee

Larry Gales, associate professor of management and academic director of

International Programs

in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, is one of 16 professors from around the world named to the International Advisory Committee at the School of Economics and Management at

Beijing Jiaotong University

in China.

“Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is a strategic UC partner in China and our oldest partner,” Gales says of the invite to serve on the committee.

Lindner College of Business has 17 international educational partnerships, including exchanges with BJTU, as “they have short courses for our students, and we have their students in undergraduate and graduate programs,” Gales says.

The committee convened in China in May for its inaugural ceremony and meeting, where Gales, one of eight professors from the United States to attend, was honored for his participation. At the meeting, Gales was recognized by LIU Yangping, BJTU dean and professor of the School of Economics and Management, for his role in furthering academic collaboration on a global platform.
