Biology Professor Contributes to Research Published in Nature Communications

McMicken Department of Biology Professor Joshua Gross contributed to research that has recently been published by Nature Communications. The research focuses on how and why the skulls of frogs and salamanders form.

Gross completed the research with James Hanken, the senior author and professor of biology from Harvard University, and Nadine Piekarski, a former postdoctoral student in Hanken's lab. Their research could lead to a better understanding of how to treat and prevent certain birth defects in humans that involve the skull.
