Blood Drive Runs through April 10
What better way to welcome the new spring season than giving life to someone in need?
After a treacherous end to our winter, blood donations are at a critically low level following multiple drives being cancelled due to snow. Hoxworth Blood Center is counting on the University of Cincinnati to help push donations to a safe level of available blood products.
The UC All Campus Blood Drive is scheduled Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. It will be held in the Campus Recreation Center.
I think it's important for UC students to give back because, in a way, we are pillars of the community, said University of Cincinnati student Alexis Kircher. We are striving to get an education to not only better ourselves but also the community around us. I think there are a lot of students that would like to give back to the community but think they don't have enough time. Hoxworth makes it so easy. They come to us (on campus) and it only takes about 45 minutes. Everyone has 45 minutes of their day to spare.
And back by popular demand, every donor will receive a newly designed Hoxworth t-shirt.
