University of Cincinnati s PNC Bank Presents: Career Life Stages and Finance Series

UC Wellness is partnering with PNC Bank to provide upcoming brown bag sessions called the Career Life Stages & Finance Series. PNC Bank wants to assist its members to make informed financial decisions every day. PNC is dedicated to help build confidence, provide information, as well as the tools necessary to make informed decisions that help achieve financial goals.

 

As part of PNC Workplace Banking efforts to support the financial well-being of its members, PNC is providing convenient on-site seminars and workshops. Employees and affiliates of the University of Cincinnati are invited to attend PNC’s next free and informative seminar series to learn about and discuss financial matters relevant during different career stages. The series is broken down into three parts: Early Career, Middle Career, and Later Career. The seminars will take place from 12 to 1 p.m. in TUC 415AB with Middle Career on March 31 and Late Career on April 7 (Early Career was held March 24).

Ancient Maya blessed their ballcourts

Using environmental DNA analysis, researchers identified a collection of plants used in ceremonial rituals in the ancient Maya city of Yaxnohcah. The plants, known for their religious associations and medicinal properties, were discovered beneath a plaza floor upon which a ballcourt was built, suggesting the building might have been blessed or consecrated during construction.
