Hamer Named Volleyball Coach at UC Clermont College

Josh Hamer was named head coach of the UC Clermont College volleyball team.

 

Hamer comes to UC Clermont with more than 15 years of coaching experience. Before coming to UC Clermont, Hamer helped start the volleyball program at Cincinnati State in 2013 and was the assistant coach for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Hamer was also the head coach for Xavier University’s Men’s Club Volleyball Team for the 2013-14 season. Prior to his two years with Cincinnati State, Hamer was the Head Freshman Volleyball Coach at Boone County High School in Kentucky.

 

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to the UC Clermont Volleyball Program, and to help continue the tradition of excellence that has been established here,” said Hamer.

 

Hamer's career also includes coaching Junior Olympic Club Volleyball for the past six years and has taken several teams to compete in national tournaments. He is currently the 16-1 head coach at Midwest Xtreme Volleyball Club. He also serves as a lead coach at the club where he oversees all teams ages 15 and is also the clubs college recruitment coordinator -  helping players at the club get recruited to play college volleyball.

 

Hamer replaces Joe Harpring who retired after 14 years as the Clermont College head volleyball coach where he compiled a 203-85 record during his tenure.
