5 Great Colleges for Studying Early Childhood Education

,” reporter Jon Fortenbury praised the flexibility the college offers.

“You can study early childhood education online or on the University of Cincinnati campus,” he said in the article. “If you choose the online option, you can earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education anywhere and anytime you want. And if you pursue the bachelor’s degree program in early childhood education on campus, you enjoy small classes and extensive field experience in a variety of classrooms, especially high-needs schools in the city, since the school has an urban mission.”

Fortenbury added that the school is a great option for anyone anywhere, not just individuals who live in or plan to live in Greater Cincinnati. Fortenbury’s goal with the article was to highlight five schools that he says, “were especially fantastic or unique.”

“We are thrilled with the recognition,” said School of Education Interim Director and Professor Mary Boat. “This article reaffirms our place as a top-ranked school with high caliber programs and a talented community of faculty members, staff, and students.”

UC’s School of Education was featured in the article along with the University of Texas, Austin, Vanderbilt University, New York University, and Arizona State University.

UC’s School of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) for excellence in teacher education. In U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Top Graduate Program’s ranking, UC’s School of Education is ranked 76th, and 23rd for best online education programs. The School of Education offers a wide range of bachelors and masters programs as well as doctoral degrees. To learn more, visit http://cech.uc.edu/education.html.
