Statement on Tuition from UC President Santa Ono

Santa Ono, President, University of Cincinnati:

“Keeping costs down for our students and their families remains a priority for the University of Cincinnati. In the days ahead, I will recommend to the Board of Trustees that tuition and general fees not increase in 2015-16 for all undergraduates, including out-of-state students, as well as most graduate and professional students.”

Ancient Maya blessed their ballcourts

Using environmental DNA analysis, researchers identified a collection of plants used in ceremonial rituals in the ancient Maya city of Yaxnohcah. The plants, known for their religious associations and medicinal properties, were discovered beneath a plaza floor upon which a ballcourt was built, suggesting the building might have been blessed or consecrated during construction.
