UC Surplus Holds Public Sale on Aug. 1
The next UC Surplus Equipment Department's public sale is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, at the facility located at 5121 Fishwick Drive.
Special inventory to be offered includes:
Remaining Adidas gear including hooded sweatshirts, T-shirts, jerseys, cleats, jackets, fleece, bags, hats and more
Four vehicles including a 1995 Ford 15-passenger van, 1993 Chevrolet Lumina sedan, 2001 Chevrolet Lumina sedan and 2000 Dodge Caravan
- Three eXmark 48-inch commercial lawn mowers
- New, large stainless steel garbage cans with liners
- A large supply of computer monitors and LCD televisions
- Artwork, including many large wall pieces
- Additions to the Surplus Management book library at $2 each
- A side-by-side refrigerator
- A 20-drawer flat file cabinet
- Lab stools for $10 each
- A pool table with custom UC cover
- A large selection of home and office furniture, including computer tables, office desks, shelves, cabinets, couches and lounge chairs
- An extensive collection of lab items including lab glass, centrifuges, vacuum pumps and more
- Many other unique lab and electronic items
Purchases can be made via check, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover) or money order, but no cash is accepted.

University of Cincinnati college is piloting a program to serve alumni of foster and kinship care

In 2025 the Ohio Reach Postsecondary designation was awarded to UC's College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) as part of the program's third cohort. The program recognizes and supports higher education institutions that have worked to make their campuses welcoming and accessible for students with a history in foster or kinship care. CECH will run a pilot program called Anchor Point aimed at wide-scale implementation across the campus in Fall 2026.
