'America Unearthed' Host Scott Wolter to Speak at UC

A geologist billed as a “real-life Indiana Jones” will present details of three American mysteries Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the University of Cincinnati.  

Scott Wolter, host of the History Channel’s H2 TV series “

America Unearthed

,” will delve into his forensic investigations on fire-damaged concrete columns following the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon, a Las Vegas murder victim entombed in a concrete sarcophagus and ancient artifacts he says place the Knights Templar in America generations before the time of Christopher Columbus.  

The event, which takes place at 5 p.m. in UC’s Alumni Hall in the Myers Alumni Center, is free and open to the public.

As a kid, at the age of 10, Marty Schiff’s dad gave him a Kodak Brownie movie camera, and that led to a lifetime of creating stories on film. He spent his summers with that camera, making eight-millimeter movies, with a camera that taught him how to thread a projector, change the film in a closet, and tell stories with the medium he loved. “I always wanted to go to Hollywood,” Schiff says.
