Be Well UC: October Programs, Activities & Challenges

October is a busy month for employee wellness and benefits. We want to help you Save Well and Feel Well with different opportunities to do so:

  • Save Well: participate in the TIAA-CREF “What’s Your Financial IQ” Challenge.  Details are available on the Save Well website.  Each quiz completed gives you an additional entry to earn a $20 UC Bookstore Gift Card.
  • Feel Well: October is themed “It’s Your Health” Month and we want you to take advantage of the incredible opportunities to work toward health and wellness via Lunch & Learns and Pop-Up Events, such as City Silence happening weekly in Van Wormer Hall.
  • There are two screening dates available in the month of October if you’re working toward completing Step 1: Oct. 20 in the Kaplan Reception Area of the Medical Sciences Building (MSB) on Eden Avenue and Oct. 21 at the Campus Recreation Center, with appointments beginning at 6:30 a.m. Login to the portal to register for your health screening (for those eligible)

Information Security Roadshow spreads awareness

The University of Cincinnati's Office of Information Security launched a series of 18 in-person sessions from January to April 2024, drawing nearly 350 attendees from the staff of various UC colleges and units. Piano alumna Brianna Matzke premieres TREMOR project at American...

TREMOR is a performance art project created in response to Brianna Matzke's essential tremor diagnosis. It features a world premiere piano concert and panel discussion at 6 p.m. on May 5, 2024 at the American Sign Museum. The project also includes an art opening, with musical responses from local new-music ensemble concert:nova on April 28 at The Well.
