UC Blue Ash Exhibit Features Artists from Area Colleges

UC Blue Ash College is hosting a new exhibition that highlights the works of more than 20 talented art students from colleges and universities throughout Greater Cincinnati.

Student Artists and Recent Alumni: A Regional University Art Exhibition

will be on display Jan. 11–29 at the UC Blue Ash Art Gallery. The show, curated by professors H. Michael Sanders and John Wolfer, consists of 41 works by 21 artists representing six area universities. You can meet many of the artists and enjoy hors d'oeurvres and refreshments during a special reception from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at the gallery, 4131 Cooper Rd., Blue Ash. 

The selected works include a diverse range of media: collage and multimedia constructions; charcoal, ink and pastel drawings; oil painting on canvas; photography; lithographic and silkscreen prints, and digital illustration.

The UC Blue Ash Art Gallery is proud to present this accomplished collection of works by student artists and recent alumni from Art Academy of Cincinnati (AAC), Northern Kentucky University (NKU), University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College (UCBA), University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (UC-DAAP), University of Dayton (UD), and Xavier University (XU).

Participating artists include: Courtney Hoelscher (UD), Iman Jabrah (NKU), Rachel Kauffman (UCBA), Charles Kays (NKU), Vicky Lantz (UCBA), Kala Lewis (NKU), Mandee Logsdon (UCBA), Ethan Lovasz (UC-DAAP), Lauren Mancini (UCBA/AAC), Alexandra Morrisette (UD), Allison Parrish (UD), Brian Pfaff (UCBA), Emma Pierpont (UD), Sarah Sager (XU), Philip Schaefer (UC-DAAP), Shawn Shelton (UCBA), Hannah Smith (XU), Emily Ulrich (NKU), Denise Wellbrock (NKU), Lindsey Werner (UCBA), and Cory Woodruff (UCBA).

DAAP to offer new online micro-credential starting fall 2026

The Design Strategy Micro-Credential will focus on research and practical strategies to help create products, services and systems that are easier to use, more inclusive, more appealing and more meaningful. It will be fully online, offering students a flexible option to work through two three credit hour classes in six weeks. Students will complete the six credit hours of coursework completely in their own time.
