'Eyes of Freedom' Memorial Makes Stop This Week at UC

The University of Cincinnati will host the “

Eyes of Freedom

” memorial Jan. 25-29 in the Tangeman University Center.

The moving exhibit features 23 life-size portraits of members of the Lima Company 3/25, a Columbus, Ohio-based regiment that lost 23 Marines while deployed to Iraq in 2005.

The paintings, created by Westerville artist Anita Miller and unveiled in the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda in 2008, have since become a tribute for fallen soldiers from all military branches.  The traveling exhibit regularly tours the country for exhibition at museums and events.
