Hoxworth Blood Center to hold Annual MLK Day Blood Drive
In the wise words of Martin Luther King Jr., the time is always right to do what is right.
Join Hoxworth Blood Center for its annual MLK Day Blood Drive to give back to the community in a crucial way: saving local lives.
The drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, 50 East Freedom Way.
All donors will receive free admission to the museum.
We are pleased to once again be working with the Freedom Center, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, says Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. This partnership allows us to honor Dr. Kings memory by serving the community.
Hoxworth is always in need of lifesaving blood. Schedule an appointment by calling (513) 451-0910 or visit www.hoxworth.org.
