UC Clermont Hosts 1st Annual Jeffrey W. Bosworth Memorial Ride for Scholarships - April 9

UC Clermont College is hosting the First Annual Jeffrey W. Bosworth Memorial Ride for Scholarships on April 9 to raise funds for the Jeffrey W. Bosworth Memorial Fund. The ride is open to all motorcycles. 

 

The ride will begin at UC Clermont’s campus located at 4200 Clermont College Drive in Batavia and end at Powder Keg Harley Davidson - 2383 Kings Center Ct., in Mason. A VA Mobile Unit will be at the Harley Davidson site. The ride length is slated to be 45-60 minutes (25-30 miles) and will avoid highways.

 

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Student Activities Center on campus with riders taking off at 10 a.m. 

 

Ride registration is $30 ($15 for veterans). To register online:

Credit card can be processed through the online registration but day of event registration, riders must pay in cash or check before the start of the ride.

 

The Jeffrey W. Bosworth memorial scholarship was created in memory of and to honor Jeff Bosworth. He served a total of 28 years, combined active and reserves in the US Navy plus numerous years educating people in the IT industry. Bosworth became the first director of Veterans Affairs at UC Clermont and was an information technology professor. He was a teacher, a friend and mentor to many individuals and always believed that learning new things and ideas was a lifelong goal. 

 

“This will be a great opportunity for veterans and supporters to get together for a cause supporting student veterans and to grow as a community. The ride is open to all riders and motorcycles. Anyone that wants to show support but doesn’t ride is welcome to meet at Powder Keg Harley Davidson starting at 10:30 am to welcome riders at the end of the event,” said Veterans Affairs Program Manager Anthony Louderback.

 

Rain date April 10 ride will start and end at Powder Keg Harley Davidson. Ride will start at noon.
