President Ono Elected to ACE Board

President Santa J. Ono

has been elected to the board of the American Council on Education. The appointment, which takes effect March 14, was approved at the ACE Board of Directors business meeting in San Francisco Monday.

President Ono’s term lasts

through March 2019

.

ACE is the major coordinating body for the nation’s colleges and universities. Dr. Ono has served as UC's president since 2012.

Founded in 1918, ACE represents more than 1,600 college and university presidents and related associations. It provides leadership on key higher education issues and influences public policy through advocacy.
