Aug. 4 Signing Marks Joint UC/Sinclair Partnership in IT Education
The new University of Cincinnati/Sinclair Community College bachelor's of science in information technology (IT) program brings forth the best of both the Sinclair Community College-Mason, and the University of Cincinnati to prepare a new group of IT professionals equipped with the technical knowledge and experience to meet the demands of today's IT driven world. The program offers students the opportunity to complete the following from the conveniently located Sinclair-Mason campus:
The UC/Sinclair BS in IT program is the result of continued partnership between the University of Cincinnati and Sinclair Community College. This new program will target graduating high school students and working adults. It promises to equip them with problem solving, communication, and hands-on technical skills at a reduced tuition rate.
Parker Roe, a current Sinclair student in IT who is looking forward to participating in the new partnership, notes, "The new UC/Sinclair IT program is the absolute perfect opportunity for me to receive my BS in Information Technology from an amazing school with a tuition rate that is more than affordable. My dreams of attending school for a four year university education have become a reality! I could not be more thankful to Sinclair Community College and University of Cincinnati for opening these doors that were once closed to me."
The signing event will take place on Thursday, August 4, from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Sinclair's Courseview Campus located at 5386 Courseview Drive, Building B, Room 115, Mason, Ohio. The event will feature remarks by students, academic and industry leaders, as well as an overview of the program.

UC grad brings unique perspective to criminal justice work

The child of a police lieutenant, Ashley grew up going on ride-alongs with her dad, learning about the work he did out on the beat. She earned her MS in criminal justice from UC and went on to pursue a doctorate focused on correctional rehabilitation, which she ultimately decided to forgo after four years of study. In 2012, Ashley launched Bauman Consulting Group, a criminal justice consulting firm serving law enforcement, courts, corrections, and related public and social sector agencies.
