Bearcats Toastmasters Offers Opportunities to Improve Interpersonal Communication Skills
The Bearcats Toastmasters chapter offers faculty and staff the opportunity to improve interpersonal communication skills. The group meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m., in Room 411 of Teachers/Dyers. An open house is set for Jan. 17, opening with 5:15 p.m. refreshments, followed by the 6 p.m. meeting. The open house will take place in Room 407, Teachers College. During each meeting, participants give brief speeches and presentations and receive positive feedback and constructive advice for improvement.
Current president of the group is Imelda Castaneda-Emenaker, senior research associate in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services.
