UC All Campus Blood Drive Runs Through Dec. 2
Hoxworth Blood Center is tapping into the power of the Bearcat Nation to collect much-needed blood donations for the Tri-State area.
The University of Cincinnati All-Campus blood drive is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28 through Friday, Dec. 2. Each donor will receive a limited edition UC stainless steel insulated tumbler (comparable to YETI® brand).
The holiday period and winter months tend to stress our communitys blood supply, as travel, cold weather and illness keep donors from coming in, says Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. However, we know that we can count on our Bearcat donors to roll up their sleeves and save lives in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The drive will take place in Tangeman University Centers Great Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with special hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Hoxworth invites all UC students, faculty, staff, and the entire Tri-State community to make a donation during the drive.
The last UC campus drive collected 939 lifesaving products that helped save more than 2,817 lives in Tri-State hospitals.
Appointments are highly encouraged due to the popularity of this event, but walk-ins are welcome. Schedule an appointment by calling (513) 451-0910 or visit www.hoxworth.org/groups/uc.
