New Canopy Service Provides Content Transfer Between WebEx, Kaltura
eLearning will be implementing the Kaltura/WebEx Connector, a tool that will automatically transfer any recorded meetings from WebEx to the users My Media area in Kaltura on the Faculty/staff and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine WebEx instance. This tool will facilitate saving, migrating, storing, re-viewing and sharing the content from WebEx.
Kaltura offers unlimited storage space and a wide variety of sharing options for media. You can access Kalturas My Media in two ways:
- My Media in Blackboard at canopy.uc.edu
- UC Kaltura Media Space (KMS) or the various college/departmental KMS
Videos will appear in Kalturas My Media area within 24-48 hours after the migration process begins. The Kaltura/WebEx Connector will then delete the recordings from the WebEx My Recorded Meetings area after the video has been migrated. Any recorded meetings in WebEx after Dec. 19 will automatically be transferred to My Media. The media will appear in My Media 24-48 hours after the end of the meeting.
The Kaltura/WebEx Connector will not be implemented on the student instance of WebEx.
