UC's 3rd Annual CincySings Event Returns Feb. 23

Join us for a sneak preview performance of UC's HarmoniCATS. This dynamic choir comprised of faculty and staff will represent UC at ArtsWave's corporate choir competition: CincySings. UC Sings is a fantastic and fun way to see your colleagues display their multitude of talents.

UC Sings takes place from 1-2 p.m. Feb. 23 in DAAP, room 5401. Jon Jon of Q102 is emcee of the event, which is free to attend and open to the public.

Our special guest include UC Sings coaches; Bob Ambach,  senior vice president for Administration and Finance and ArtsWave co-chair; One Man Electrical Band Michael Carr; Emalene Benson, the Clifton Cultural Arts Center programs and communication manager; the Anthony, Nathaniel and Daniel Dorsey CCM Preparatory Trio, and performers from the UC Dance Team.

Proceeds from CincySings benefits the

ArtsWave Community Campaign

, which provides support to more than 100 arts organizations in the Greater Cincinnati region. UC is a community supporter of ArtsWave. This year's campaign runs Feb. 1 through March 3.

Local couple uses royalties from children's books to give gifts to kids in need

A local couple has found a unique way to give back to those in need this holiday season. Vic and Laura Troha wrote two children's books together, and this year, they are using the proceeds to buy Christmas gifts for Hamilton County foster kids. The couple are both graduates of the University of Cincinnati's College of Allied Health Sciences and met the day they graduated.
