Fundraising Event Benefits OTR Museum

One University of Cincinnati doctoral student's dream of a museum to document one of Cincinnati’s historic neighborhoods will get a bit of a financial boost Wednesday with a fundraising event set for 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 19.

Anne Delano Steinert, a 2015 UC graduate who is now pursuing her PhD in history at the university, is co-founder of the Over-the-Rhine Museum, an organization looking for a building to chronicle Cincinnati’s historic German section.

The event, “Three Musical Acts in Over-the-Rhine,” will be staged at the recently restored Woodward Theater at 1404 Main St.. Billed as “a night of music and stories.” It will include performances by Cincinnati favorites Molly Sullivan, Katie Laur with Ma Crow and Jake Speed and the Freddies. Accompanying the event will be a silent auction, offering items such as art by local artists, catered food, theatre tickets and historic Cincinnati tours.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance on
