25 UC Faculty Celebrated For Excellence In And Out Of Classrooms

Every spring, leaders from colleges across the University of Cincinnati’s campuses honor exemplary faculty members with the prestigious “Award for Faculty Excellence.”

This year, 25 honorees received the special recognition, along with $2,000 in faculty development funds to use to enhance their work at the University. Recipients were chosen not only because of exceptional and significant service or outstanding research, but also because of notable innovations and accomplishments. In addition, each recipient reflects the principles of UC’s “Just Community”—civility, honor, inclusion, integrity and the promotion of justice.

“Our faculty regularly make significant contributions in their departments and classrooms and in the greater world,” says Provost Peter Landgren. “With these annual awards, we proudly shine a light on our faculty's impressive accomplishments.”

“Recognizing the excellence of our faculty is always inspiring,” says Pat Limbach, Vice President for Research, Ohio Eminent Scholar and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Cincinnati. “These awards illustrate the depth and breadth of the talent at the University, which deserves our appreciation and support all year long.”
