CCM Announces Fall 2017 Schedule of Major Events

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) presents more than 100 major public performances this fall as part of its yearlong Sesquicentennial Celebration. The largest single source of performing arts events in the state of Ohio, CCM's Fall 2017 Performance Series runs

Established in 1867, CCM will spend the 2017-18 performance season looking back on its history as one of the country’s oldest conservatories, celebrating the careers of its impressive alumni and faculty, and looking forward to the artistic futures of its incredible students!

Sesquicentennial highlights include CCM’s Fall Choral Showcase on

Sept. 24,

which revives Norman Dello Joio’s

Proud Music of the Storm,

a composition that Ralph and Patricia Corbett originally commissioned for CCM’s centenary and the dedication of Corbett Auditorium in 1967!

Sept. 26

, the Ariel Quartet opens its four-part concert series with a program dedicated to the memory of CCM Professor Emeritus and LaSalle Quartet member

Walter Levin

, who passed away on Aug. 4, 2017, at the age of 92.

The Sesquicentennial celebrates the work of Broadway composer and CCM alumnus

Stephen Flaherty

(BM, 1982) with a production of his hit musical
