Greer Glazer Named to List of Most Influential Deans of Nursing
Greer Glazer, PhD, dean of the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Nursing, has been named one of the 30 Most Influential Deans of Nursing in the U.S. The list was released by Mometrix Test Preparation.
Glazer, who ranks No. 25 on the list, was appointed dean of the UC College of Nursing in January 2012. A nationally-recognized leader in nursing education, Glazer has spearheaded the development and implementation of a strategic map aimed to position UC as a leader in the transformation of health care. She has a strong history of developing community, national and international partnerships and securing federal funding for nursing research, scholarship and program implementation.
Glazer is serving in her second two-year term on the board of directors of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Glazer recently spearheaded a national study on Holistic Admissions in the Health Professions and in 2013 was named one of Ohio's Most Powerful and Influential Women by the National Diversity Council.
Mometrix compiled its ranking through a system in which points were awarded to each dean based on a variety of data, including awards, top 10 rankings, National Institutes of Health funding, National Council Licensure Exam passing percentage and more.
The UC College of Nursing is nationally ranked with many programs listed best in Cincinnati and Ohio and within the top tier of programs across the country.
