Registration Now Open for Oct. 10 LT@UC Conference
The second annual LT@UC Conference will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The conference will be held in the Langsam Library Digital Commons from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
LT@UC (Learning and Teaching at UC) is a collaborative effort between the Academy of Fellows for Teaching and Learning (AFTL), the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CET&L), IT@UC eLearning, and UC Libraries.
This years LT@UC Conference will consist of a keynote presentation by John Dunlosky, professor and director of SOLE Center, Kent State University. A main tenant of Dunloskys research program is to develop techniques to improve the effectiveness of peoples self-regulated learning across the life span. He most recently co-authored Improving students learning with effective learning techniques: Promising directions from cognitive and educational psychology. Psychological Science in the Public Interest.
The conference will also feature numerous seven-minute presentations by various staff and faculty members, as well as several, more in-depth twenty-minute long form talks. Topics presented on included: Engaging the Distant Learner Using Technology, Who Are We Teaching? An Overview of Generation Z, Creating Space for Dynamic Reflection in the College Classroom, and many more.
