UC Links with Industry to Share Knowledge at SmartRegions Conference
The University of Cincinnati will be well represented in the Oct. 25 Midwest IoT Showcase and SmartRegions Conference at BB&T Arena in Northern Kentucky.
Because UCs Office of Research is a sponsor of the conference, the event is free to UC faculty and students, who will have an opportunity to take in a tech expo, drone races and thought leadership breakout sessions. UC faculty and students can claim complimentary tickets here.
This is the first regional IoT showcase and expo where together, we are going to showcase UC researchers' (and students') work alongside other area researchers' work and industry-born technologies, said Jennifer Krivickas, UCs assistant vice president of integrated research and head of the DAAP Library. This is a great way for faculty and students to network and develop relationships with researchers outside UC, government officials, community leaders, and industry leaders in the IoT space.
Themes of the event include the future of mobility and smart transportation, cybersecurity, energy and medical tech as well as homelessness, child poverty and the heroin epidemic.
University of Cincinnati presenters represent faculty members from all across campus and university leadership.
