Painted Ground Exhibit Featured at UC Clermont
The exhibition Painted Ground, featuring mixed-media sculpture and installation pieces by Missouri-based artist Jesse J. Ring, is on display in the
Park National Bank Art Gallery
at UC Clermont College through March 16th.
I use haptic materials like ceramic because they are uniquely responsive, allowing them to be formed with nuance from an accurate depiction to an expressive interpretation, said Ring, a former adjunct instructor at UCs College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning. Materiality and the process of manipulation are used to emphasize imbued narrative and poetic meaning in representational imagery.
The Park National Bank Art Gallery is located in the Snyder Building on the UC Clermont College campus in Batavia at 4200 Clermont College Drive. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.5 p.m. For more than 20 years, the spacious 1,000-square-foot gallery has offered visual art exhibits open to UC Clermont students, faculty, staff and the general public.
