YMCA's Nationally Recognized Diabetes Prevention Program Coming To UC
The University of Cincinnati is committed to investing in the health and well-being of its faculty and staff. UC Benefits and Be Well UC are partnering with the YMCA to offer the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) on campus. This will be offered as a pilot program during 2018 for up to 100 eligible faculty and staff members at no cost.
About the DPP
The DPP is a nationally recognized program follows the
to help adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles by eating healthier, increasing physical activity, and losing a modest amount of weight in order to improve their overall wellbeing. In a classroom setting, a trained lifestyle coach will facilitate a small group of participants over 25 sessions. Visit the
