Attend the A&S iPad Open House Event

The University of Cincinnati's Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CET&L) and the Center for Excellence in eLearning will host an open house to showcase the work of the A&S iPad Project.

The A&S iPad Project involves more than 25 faculty working to enhance teaching and learning through the use of an iPad in a supportive community. In collaboration with CET&L and the CEeL, this project fosters a culture of continuous improvement in teaching with technology.

The A&S iPad Open House will showcase the work of a cohort of 25 faculty from diverse disciplines in A&S who explore integrating new technologies and apps supported by the iPad into their teaching and research practices. The event will feature a mix of teaching demonstrations and brief, rotating roundtable presentations.

Presentations will highlight examples from various projects instructors have engaged in through their time in the cohort, including using live polling to both assess student understanding of key concepts during the class; or utilizing video and editing features the iPad offers to document student work in class, make instructional videos, and create video answer keys that give detailed instructions for TA's on how to grade assignments.

The open house will take place on Monday, April 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Langsam Library, Room 462. For a program and list of presenters, visit the CET&L webpage. Those that register to attend the event will be provided with a buffet lunch. Sign up with this form to register to attend.  Registration closes on Wednesday, March 28.
