Poet Matthew Guenette to Visit UC Clermont April 4

The UC Clermont College Poetry Series will welcome poet Matthew Guenette on April 4.  

Guenette is the author of three full-length poetry collections: “Vasectomania” (University of Akron Press, 2017), “American Busboy” (University of Akron Press, 2011) and “Sudden Anthem” (Dream Horse Press, 2008). He is also the author of the chapbook “Civil Disobedience” (Rabbit Catastrophe Press, 2017). Guenette has held residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and the Hessen-Wisconsin Fellowship. A graduate of the master of fine arts program at Southern Illinois University, he currently teaches composition and creative writing at Madison College in Madison, Wis.

Guenette will be on UC Clermont’s campus for a Q&A with the author at 10:10 a.m., followed by a poetry workshop at 11:15 a.m. in the Student Services Building, Room 240, and a reading and book signing at 1:25 p.m. in the library. A reception will follow the events, and books will be available for purchase.

Information Security Roadshow spreads awareness

The University of Cincinnati's Office of Information Security launched a series of 18 in-person sessions from January to April 2024, drawing nearly 350 attendees from the staff of various UC colleges and units. The Information Security Roadshow series aimed to equip the audience with knowledge on prevailing cyber threats, prevention strategies, how to report incidents and resources to stay informed and secure.
