UC Celebrates National Heart Failure Awareness Week

UC Medical Center physicians Lynne Wagoner, MD, and Harvey Hahn, MD, are teaming up with The University Hospital to celebrate National Heart Failure Awareness Week, Feb. 10-14, 2003.  Tables providing information about heart failure, its causes, treatment, device therapy, and self management practices will be set up outside The University Hospital cafeteria during lunch hours.  In addition to the lunch hour information tables, other events have been scheduled throughout the week.

Thursday, Feb. 13-Culinary Sol, noon-1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

New combination treatment improves multiple myeloma outcomes

The University of Cincinnati Cancer Center's Ed Faber, DO, provided commentary to Medscape on the COBRA study that found the combination of carfilzomib combined with lenalidomide and dexamethasone (KRd) shows significantly greater efficacy than the previous standard of care.
