OSHA Head To Speak At Occupational Safety And Health Research Symposium

UC's fifth annual symposium featuring research trainees and young investigators in occupational safety and health will be held Oct. 21–22 in Kehoe Auditorium.

The guest speaker will be John L. Henshaw, head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

The symposium features grant recipients in the Occupational Health and Safety Pilot Research Project, established by UC to support research trainees and young investigators and to encourage those in related disciplines to pursue research in this field.

Grants are provided through UC’s Occupational Health and Safety Education and Research Center, one of 16 such centers funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

One hour of American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) credit has been applied for and may be given to symposium attendees.

Kehoe Auditorium is in the Kettering Laboratory Building on the UC Medical Center campus. The symposium will be free and open to the public. For more information or to register, call Diane Bolden at 513-558-1747.
