College of Medicine Students Symbolically Transition Into Medical Field

CINCINNATI - First-year College of Medicine students made their official transition into the medical field this afternoon during the college’s annual White Coat Ceremony, held at 1 p.m. in Music Hall.

Each member of the class of 2015 was presented with a white coat – traditionally symbolic of professionals in the medical field. The coats were given as gifts by the UC Alumni Association.

This year’s speaker was Andrew Filak, MD, senior associate dean for academic affair at the College of Medicine.
