College of Nursing Largest Group to Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes 2011
The University of Cincinnati College of Nursings team was the largest team in Cincinnati with more than 90 members to participate in Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, which took place Oct. 15 at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati.
The College of Nursing team raised over $3,800 toward the cause and was led by team captain Aaron Price, MEd, assistant director of student affairs and bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program manager.
The Step Out walk is the American Diabetes Associations signature fundraising walk to help raise money for a cure for the nearly 24 million Americans with diabetes.
The two-mile walk started and finished at the stadium.
